Daily Routines That Harm The Skin. Part 2

Hello everyone, hope you’ve been having a productive week so far. Today, we’re going to pick up where we left off last week. Here are other daily routines that harm the skin:

  1. Reduced consumption of water: A lot of us find it so hard to consume the daily water requirement but have no issues with consuming soda, wine, coffee etc. Asides from keeping you hydrated and energetic, drinking water also helps to give the skin a natural glow. You can start to see a huge improvement in as little as a week. It is essential to keep a bottle of water with you wherever you go so you can stay hydrated and beautiful on the move.
  2.  Popping your pimples: Most of us are guilty of this, anytime we see a juicy, ripe zit on our face, we have this uncontrollable urge to pop it. If you’re a ‘pimple popper’, I’m sure by now you know popping only gives the zit a worse appearance. It can also enlarge your pores and leave hyperpigmented acne scars on the face which can be difficult to treat.
  3. Taking long hot showers: it’s presently the rainy season in this part of the world so a lot of us take hot early morning and late night showers. Sadly, taking hot showers can strip the skin of essential moisture and healthy oils. Ditch the hot shower and take a warm one instead.
  4.  Waxing and tweezing unwanted facial hairs: Having unwanted facial hairs can be very annoying but waxing or tweezing them is not the solution. Although they can temporarily get them off your face however, they tend to cause ingrown hairs and hyperpigmented scars. The hairs waxed or tweezed tend to be darker and coarser. Laser hair removal has been found to be very safe and effective; you should give this a trial instead.
